SAFÂA ERRUAS
Safaa Erruas was born in 1976 in Tetouan.
She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan in 1998.
Lives and works in Tetouan, Morocco.
Her work involves a reflection on the physicality of materials and the gestures we develop in contact with them.
In doing so, she shifts the gaze to a world of monochromatic micro-sensations in which the smooth and the striated confront each other.
Safâa reverses the "minimalist" aesthetic in that her surfaces and clean lines pierced with holes cultivate a strong memory of the body. His razor blades, needles and other metallic objects present themselves as warning signs and as meditations on the silent wounds that we like to maintain in an unconscious dream.
